Park Day Code of Conduct

Riverside Area Home Learners has always been a flexible, informal, inclusive gathering of like minded families. We desire all who come to our park day to feel comfortable, supported, and welcome. We ask all RAHL participants to provide an atmosphere where all families feel respected and safe.

Our park days give families the opportunity to develop new friendships, learn about new places and attractions, and share their experiences and wisdom. We are always eager for those willing to plan a field trip, organize a club, or be a volunteer. So don’t be shy - make your talents known!

When attending our park day, we expect everyone, children and adults, to be respectful of others and their property. Before arriving, please discuss with your children issues such as bullying, teasing, rudeness, and offensive language.

Parents are reminded they are fully responsible for their children's well being and the actions of their children at all times.

Families need to resolve any conflicts that may arise privately and directly with the other party as quickly as possible.

RAHL has enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Citrus State Historic Park over the last fourteen years. We greatly value the lovely, well maintained facilities the Park has to offer and wish to remain their guests for years to come.

With this in mind please take note of the following:

Before your children run off to play at park day make sure they know the Park boundaries and what is acceptable and expected behavior in a State Park. The rules for Citrus Park are posted next to the picnic area for review.

The orange groves at Citrus Park are working groves. No one is allowed to enter the groves at any time. All property within the boundaries of the Park, including the fruit and all landscaping, belongs to the Park and is not to be collected or taken from its natural place.

Citrus Park is a public State Park, open to all visitors, and there are times when RAHL members are not the only people present at a park day. Parents should be aware of other visitors and keep their children in sight vision at all times.

Anyone found in violation of Park rules or found abusing or disrespecting park property will be held personally accountable for damage done to the Park and will be asked to leave.
