Our Technology Showcase

The I-Med team has developed over 2000 web pages comprising more than 40 different web sites. While most of the sites designed have been healthcare oriented, we have developed the web presence for companies from many other industries. We have developed several secure intranet sites, as well as secure remote access extranets. Our development team and our consultants have assisted with multiple Fortune 500 web sites. Additionally, our research team has published peer-reviewed articles in the medical literature on using Internet technologies to benefit patients, practitioners, and insurers.

Our Connection to the Internet Backbone

I-Med's WWW Virtual servers are robust Sun Microsystems SPARCstation file servers running Sun Solaris 2.4 UNIX connected to 1.54 Mb/s capacity T1 lines. We use multiple T1 lines into our facility, this approach allows for more bandwidth than a single T3 line and is also more fault tolerant. Both our network services and our servers are connected to a robust uninterruptible power supply.
