About the I-Med Team |
I-Med is the Internet Medicine Company. Formed by physicians, health informaticists, network and telecommunication experts, we have the goal of educating health care professionals about all facets of digital medicine.
Our current projects include work on telemedicine, medical Internet publishing, virtual medical records, and CME over the Internet. We serve as information brokers on the Health Information Highway by putting medical content on the WWW and giving it value.
Our first success has been in orienting physicians to the Internet by making it a functional and productive part of their practices. Additionally, we have developed an expertise in providing medical products with exposure in the digital realm. Our expertise in health care allows us to publicize an individual site to its specific market - guaranteeing relevant traffic to the content on the web site. We have expert web site designers and digital artists to help us produce attractive and functional web pages.
I-Med, LLC was formed as a business in June 1996. I-Med, LLC consists of several individuals who work in four divisions. The majority of these people bring superior technical expertise to I-Med by way of their other employment. Our company is broken into four divisions:
1. medical staff: This team consists of physicians and medical researchers with broad clinical experience in multiple surgical and medical disciplines.
2. programmers: We have web site programmers competent in CGI, Perl, JAVA, HTML 3.2, animation, and interactivity. They also have expertise in web-based database design, Internet security, and network telecommunications.
3. graphic design: Our creative talent is based upon the work of three artists with many years of experience in both digital and non-digital artwork. Their repertoire of skills continues to grow with every new design development on the web.
4. sales & marketing: Our marketing professionals with skills in online advertising, electronic commerce, and digital publicizing are responsible for I-Med's Internet promotions. They ensure that all of our customers' sites remain high-traffic venues.
